So this is a blog, huh. Hmm, I thought it would be bigger...

This should be where everyone can catch up on what the Federalsburg Hietts are doing. If everything works right you'll be able to see pictures of the boys, the animals and the parents (not so many). Plus we'll try to keep everyone up to date on the house and what we're doing.

For the first entry. This weekend we finished (mostly) the kitchen. The paint is up, 3/4ths of the border is up and all but one section of thr trim is done. Jen picked out a new light for the kitchen. It's a black 3-light system that hangs down over the window. It replaces the drab flourescent light that was there when we moved in.The reason for the missing border is that York Wallpaper decided to print the border on two different types of paper (textured and plain) without marking this on any of the packaging. So now we are on a hunt for more (textured) rolls of our border.You should see some pictures of it on here somewhere, don't ask me where.

We took a trip out to Salisbury Saturday. We wanted to exchange some stuff for Kid #2.

Let me rant about Target's no-receipt return policy. Here it is as discribed by el Clerko;
1. You can not combine all returns to buy 1 "super" item.
2. Each exchanged item must be of same or greater value (you return socks worth 4.95, you need to buy an item of greater value).
3. You can not buy two items to equal one (same socks to return and you buy a 2 dollar pen and 2 dollar notebook).
4. Each bought item must come from the same department as the item returned.

Do you know how hard this is!!!??? We had like 10 things to return and instead of getting what we need, we spent the evening in the baby section looking for anything priced 4.95 or 6.50 or 10.25. I would be damned if Target was going to get more of my money with that idiot return policy.

Back to Salisbury, we got a bunch of baby stuff from Target (spent a total of 3.45), we priced fencing (now we're looking into split rail with chain link to keep the dog in) and looked to see if they had more border (which they didn't) at Home Depot, did some baby shopping and I bought some very economical $10 jeans at the Wal-Mart, and then went to Sears, 10 minutes after they closed.

Fun

Sunday we finished up the last of the Kitchen (minus some trim and that damned roll of border) and sat down to watch some football game.I think that was it.

Hopefully I'll keep this up. They says it's very theropeutic (that might even be spelled right).Let me know how you like it. Posted by Picasa
